-Newman looks to win its  second-consecutive game for only the second time this season when they  take on the Emporia State Hornets. ESU is 4-3 this season after  suffering an 89-62 drubbing Saturday at Missouri Western. The Hornets  are 1-1 this season on their home court in White Auditorium.
-Emporia State has the potential to put points on the board in a  hurry, eclipsing the century mark twice this season, first in a 108-81  exhibition win over Livin' the Dream, then again in a 116-114 double  overtime loss to Central Oklahoma. ESU also earned an 80-76 win over  Heartland Conference favorite Dallas Baptist at the SBU Classic Nov. 27  in Bolivar, Mo.
-ESU owns an 18-7 lead in the all-time series, winning the last  meeting 65-60 last seaon at Fugate Gymnasium in Wichita. The last time  the two teams played in White Auditorium, the Jets picked up a 93-89 win  on Dec. 5, 2007. The winning team has scored 90 or more points in three  of the last four meetings this decade.
