Scouting the Mustangs...
Midwestern State is off to one of the best starts in school history, having reeled off three-straight wins, including a 1-0 win over NU Heartland Conference rival St. Mary's, and a 1-0 win over #14 Central Missouri, both of which were played on the Mustangs' home pitch in Wichita Falls, Texas. MSU allowed their first and only goal of the season a week ago in a 2-1 road win over New Mexico Highlands in Las Vegas, N.M. Mustang senior Katy Lukert has recorded three points (one goal, one assist) over MSU's first three games, and leads the team in points. Three other Mustangs have also scored this season. Senior goalkeeper Ashley Meek has logged 135 scoreless minutes in three starts this season, posting nine saves. Head Coach Jeff Trimble is in his 12th season at the helm of the MSU women's soccer program. He has posted a 134-71-18 record during that time.
