Newman Volleyball looks to complete a season sweep of in-state foe Fort Hays State when the Tigers visit Fugate Gymnasium for a 7 p.m. Wednesday evening match. The Jets opened their season with a 3-1 win over the Tigers in Kearney, Neb.

Scouting the Tigers...
Fort Hays has struggled to a 4-14 record this season, and are on a five-match losing streak, including four-straight losses to nationally-ranked opponents. Offensively, the Tigers are led by Lilian Redenze, who has 249 kills, and a .194 hitting percentage through 18 games in 2009. Whitney Liggett has emerged as FHSU's primary setter, amassing 429 assists this season, and with 277 digs, Tracie Hileman does the majority of the dirty work for FHSU on the defensive side of the ball.
