MATCH NOTES
The Newman women's soccer team hits the road for its third-consecutive Heartland Conference road trip, which includes stops in Austin and Odessa. The Jets will take on St. Edward's in a 4 p.m. contest Thursday in Austin, before making a stop in Odessa on the way home for a 1 p.m. contest against the Falcons of Texas-Permian Basin Saturday afternoon.

Newman opens its Heartland Conference road trip with a visit to Austin, Texas to take on St. Edward's. The Jets are 6-6 this season after a 3-1 loss at Dallas Baptist last weekend. Junior transfer Sade Humphrey has proven to be a valuable piece of the Newman puzzle, scoring five of Newman's 15 goals this season.
The Hilltoppers, meanwhile, enter the match with a 12-0-1 record on the season, and were ranked No. 8 in the Oct. 19 NSCAA/HendrickCars.com National Poll. SEU defeated Newman, 3-1, on Oct. 2 in Wichita.Newman at Texas-Permian Basin

Newman concludes its visit to Texas with a stop in Odessa for its first meeting of the season with Texas-Permian Basin. The Falcons are 3-9-1 this season, and have lost five-straight matches. UTPB's last win came in a 2-1 win over Angelo State on Sept. 16, 2010 in Odessa.
