MATCH NOTES

The Newman women's soccer team will renew its rivalry with the Friends Falcons Wednesday evening in a 7 p.m. match at Friends' Adair Austin Stadium.

Newman makes the short trip across Kellogg Ave. Wednesday evening to take on Friends University on the Falcons' home turf. Friends is 1-3 this season, and has scored only one goal. Newman, meanwhile, is 2-4 on the season, and is looking to bounce back from back-to-back losses at Southwestern Oklahoma State and Midwestern State, respectively, last weekend. 

The Jets have been led this season by Sade Humphrey, a 5-4 junior from Salina, Kan., by way of Butler Community College. Humphrey has scored all three of Newman's goals this season, and is this week's Heartland Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
