Christina Farid collected six saves in her final home game, but the Newman women's soccer team fell 2-0 to No. 20 Central Oklahoma Wednesday night at Wilkins Field. The marked Farid's 74th consecutive start in goal for the Jets.
- UCO's Shayna Kindsvater scored the first goal of the match in the 15th minute, beating the keeper on the right side, after receiving a pass from Nawal Kirts.
- Summer Grantham added the second goal of the contest for the Bronchos in the 60th minute after finishing her own shot that was rebounded back to her off Newman keeper
Christina Farid.

Mallory Hurst led the Jets' offense with three shots followed by
Alli Zingo who took two shots.
- Newman was out-shot 17-7 in the match. Six of Newman's shots came in the second half.
- UCO held a 3-1 corner kick advantage in the game. All of the corner kicks came in the first half.
- Twenty-one fouls were called in the contest, 12 going against the Bronchos while the remaining nine went against the Jets.
- Two yellow cards were issued in the match. The first went to Newman's
Mei-Mei Senthavy in the 61st minute while the second was given to UCO's Miranda Thorne in the 64th minute.
With the loss Newman falls to 4-9-3 on the season. The Jets will play their final game of the regular season Sunday, October 30th at 1 p.m. in Odessa,Texas against Texas-Permian Basin. They will be faced with a must win situation in order to extend their season and qualify for the Heartland Conference Championship tournament.
