The Match-Up
About the Jets...
The Jets will look for prime positioning for the Heartland Conference tournament on Thursday, when Oklahoma Panhandle State visits Wichita for their last regular season game. Newman trounced the Aggies 88-55 on Feb. 6 in Goodwell, Okla. In their first meeting, four Jets scored in double-figures, led by Shamar Acuay's 16-point night, on seven-of-eight shooting from the field. As a team, Newman shot a season-best 66 percent (33-50) from the field, and connected on a season-high 55 percent (11-20) from beyond-the-arc. With a win on Thursday, the Jets will fly through their home schedule undefeated for the first time since transitioning to Division II athletics in the 2008-09 school year.
