WICHITA, Kan. - Newman women's soccer competed against Dallas Baptist on Saturday afternoon at Wilkins Field. The only goal of the game came from the Patriots in the 56th minute leading to a 1-0 loss for the Jets.

-The defense battled hard for the Jets as the Patriots shot 21 goals in the two halves with 10 on target.

-Patriot Danielle Presley scored the only goal of the game in the 56th minute mark.

-Jordan DeBoer had the first shot of the game for the Jets in the 78th minute.

-In an effort to tie the game Blair Terry tried for a goal with 48 seconds left, but the Patriots blocked it.

-Newman goalkeeper Kayleigh Renfro had nine saves in the game, two in the first half and seven in the second.

The Jets move to a 3-5 overall record and 1-3 in Hearltand Conference play. Newman will travel to Abilene, Texas to take on McMurry on Oct. 4.
