TULSA, Okla. – Newman men's tennis fell to Arkansas-Fort Smith, 8-1, today (April 5) in a Heartland Conference match. The Jets drop to 6-13 on the season.
 
No. 1 singles player Nei Dos Santos got the only win for the Jets on the day. He won 6-4 and 7-6 against Sean Manning of UAFS.
 
The Jets dropped the other five singles matches, all by straight sets.
 
Newman also struggled in doubles competition, losing all three matches.
 
The Jets are in action twice tomorrow (April 6) in Tulsa, Okla. Newman faces off with Northwest Missouri State at 9 a.m. and then clashes with Dallas Baptist at 2 p.m. in a Heartland Conference match.
