WICHITA – The men's tennis team fell short to Emporia State, 5-4, on Saturday (Sept. 21) at Riverside. The Jets are 1-1 in fall duals.
 
NU took only one of the three doubles matches. Nei Dos Santos and Freddy Sanchez teamed up and got an 8-6 win at No. 1 singles.
 
The Jets and Hornets split the six singles matches with each winning three matches. Dos Santos won 4-6, 6-0 (10-7) at No. 2 singles. Sanchez got a straight set 6-1, 6-4 victory at No. 3 singles. Also winning in singles competition was Max Pyle as he got a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 5 singles.
 
The Jets return to the court on Tuesday (Sept. 24) against Friends University.
