Women’s Soccer Finishes Three-Match Road Trip Tonight at ESU

EMPORIA, Kan. – The Newman women's soccer team ends a three-match road trip tonight (Sept. 25) as the Lady Jets take on Emporia State at 7 p.m. at Emporia High School.
 
The Lady Jets are currently 2-2 this season with two wins to start the season against Southwestern College, 4-0, and Oklahoma Christian, 2-1. During their road swing, NU is 0-2 with losses at Northwestern Oklahoma State, 2-1, and Washburn, 4-0. Mei-Mei Senthavy leads the NU offense with four goals in the four games. Harriet Jakeman adds two goals, and Courtney Galliher has one goal. Maricela Ruvalcaba, Jeehye Yi and Olivia Hull all have one assist this season.
 
Emporia State is 3-3 on the season and knocked off Washburn, 2-0, on Friday (Sept. 20).The Hornets also defeated Northwestern Oklahoma State, 1-0, and Regis University, 2-1, this season. Tommi Bouknight leads ESU with two goals, and four other Hornets have one goal this season.
 
The Lady Jets return home for a match on Sunday (Sept. 29) against Fort Hays State at 2 p.m. at Wilkins Field.
