                     BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Newman volleyball team ends the 2014 regular season tonight (Nov. 6) at Baker University at 7 p.m. Live video will be available for the contest. The Lady Jets can set a NU NCAA Division II school record with a win tonight. 
NU is 15-12 overall and finished 9-7 in the Heartland Conference. The 15 wins ties the Newman NCAA Division II school record set in 2013 at 15. With a victory, NU could pass the mark tonight. The Lady Jets are on a three-match winning streak and have won five of their last six. In non-conference action, NU is 6-5 this season, including 1-3 in road non-conference matches. The Lady Jets have won two straight non-conference matches this season. In their most recent contest, NU defeated Northwestern Oklahoma State, 3-1, in Goodwell, Okla. 
For the first time since 2010, NU clinched a spot in the Heartland Conference Tournament, finishing the season at 9-7. The Lady Jets will be either the third or fourth seed in the semifinals match on Nov. 14 in Fort Smith, Ark. 
Baker is 14-16 on the season. The Wildcats are currently on a seven-match losing streak. In their most recent match, the Wildcats lost, 3-0, at Evangel (Mo.) on Tuesday (Nov. 4). Baker's last home match, the Wildcats fell, 3-1, to Culver-Stockton (Mo.) on Oct. 21.
