                     WICHITA – The Newman men's basketball team will look to get back on track on Saturday (Dec. 6) against Manhattan Christian at 3 p.m. inside Fugate Gymnasium. Video and live stats will be available for the game. 
The Jets are currently 2-2 on the season after back-to-back losses to Kansas MIAA schools. Most recently, NU fell, 82-66, at Pittsburg State on Dec. 2. The Jets lost, 82-75, to Fort Hays State on Nov. 25. To start the season, NU was 2-0 after wins over Emporia State and Washburn during the opening week of the season. Junior 
Reggie Baker leads the team in scoring and rebounding with 24.8 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. 
Jeremy Espinoza has averaged 13 points per game, and 
Cortrael Colbert adds 10 points and 6.5 assists per game, leading the conference in the category. 
Manhattan Christian is currently 1-7 on the season. The Thunder play in the Midwest Christian College Conference and in the National Christian College Athletic Association. MCC is 0-2 in MCCC play. The Thunder have four players back from last season, including two starters. 
A season ago, the Jets defeated Manhattan Christian, 97-68, on Nov. 16, 2013 at Fugate Gymnasium. 
Jack Pyle scored a team-high 12 points, and 
Ryan McCarthy added 11 points. A total of four Jets scored in the game. 
After Saturday's game, NU plays three more home contests. The Jets take on William Jewell on Nov. 13 at 3 p.m. inside Fugate Gymnasium. Live stats, video and audio on KGSO 1410 AM will be available.
