NU is 3-3 on the season after defeating Central Christian College on Dec. 1. The Jets pulled away for a 90-62 victory over the Tigers. Senior
DeKendra Ledoux scored a career-high 21 points, including three 3s, to lead the Jets to the win.
Sierra Maykus added 16 points and four 3s. NU scored a season-high 90 points on 48.7 percent shooting. For the season, sophomore
Brianna Caldwell scores a team-high 11.5 points per game. She shots a team-best 45.7 percent from 3.
DaJah Thompson pulls down a team-high 6.2 rebounds per game. Sophomore
Cierra Tjaden's 4.2 assists per game are the best on the team.
No. 1 ESU is 6-0 on the season and won its 20th straight home game with an 80-44 win over Northwest Missouri State on Wednesday (Dec. 3). It is the fifth straight home contest for the Hornets on Saturday. ESU has wins over Texas Woman's, Henderson State, Midwestern State, Southwestern Oklahoma State and NWMSU. The closest regular season game was a 63-56 victory over SWOSU. All other victories were by double digits. Three Hornets average double figures with Kelly Moten at a team-high 14.7 points per game. Amber Vandiver also totals a double-double average of 10.3 points and 8.5 rebounds per game.
After tomorrow's game, NU returns home for three straight games. The Jets play William Jewell on Saturday (Dec. 13) at 1 p.m. inside Fugate Gymnasium.
