OVERLAND PARK – The Newman men's tennis team suffered its first loss of the spring by the score of 6-3 at Rockhurst on Saturday (Feb. 8) at the Overland Park Racquet Club.
 
The Jets won one of the three doubles matches. Nei Dos Santos and Eduardo Santos teamed up to got a close 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles.
 
In singles competition, NU won two of the six courts. Santos won at No. 2 singles 6-3, 6-3. Evgeniy Kim won at No. 3 singles 6-4, 1-6, 1-0 (11-9).
 
The Jets are back in action on Feb. 14 against East Central in Wichita.
