GOODWELL, Okla. -  The Newman softball team ran its Heartland Conference winning streak to four straight games with a game one victory, 9-5, over Oklahoma Panhandle State, however, the Jets lost game two, 4-3, on a walk-off single. With the split, NU moved to 11-29 on the season and 6-11 in the Heartland Conference. 
Newman 9, Oklahoma Panhandle State 5 
The Jets pulled out to a 4-0 lead in the second inning and never looked back in a 9-5 win in the first contest. With the bases loaded, 
Madison Bish singled to left field to put NU up 1-0. A 
Kassidy Furr single to left center field brought in two more runs for a 3-0 advantage. 
Kelsey Jones and 
Breanna Pingry scored on the two-RBI single from Furr. 
Taylor Mannis increased the score to 4-0 with a single to left field.   
A solo home run by OPSU in the second pulled them to within three at 4-1. In the fourth inning, NU added two more wins. 
Mikayla Medbery tripled to left field to score Mannis to put the Jets in front, 5-1. 
Kaitlyn Buck added to the lead with a double to left to bring in Medbery for a 6-1 edge. 
NU totaled three runs in the fifth inning for a 9-1 lead. Furr singled against to plate two runs, and then another Medbery triple added the third run in the inning for a 9-1 score. 
OPSU scored one run in the fifth and three runs in the sixth, but couldn't get any closer than the 9-5 score. 
Furr went 2-for-3 with four RBI, and Medbery was 2-for-3 with two RBI. 
Breanna Pingry finished 3-for-4. NU totaled 12 hits. 
Jensen Cromer got the win in the circle, going 5.1 innings. 
Katie Ingles pitched the final 1.2 innings and struck out three. 
Oklahoma Panhandle State 4, Newman 3 
The Jets held a 3-1 edge heading into the bottom of the seventh inning, but OPSU plated three runs, including the game-winning single to left to win, 4-3. 
OPSU's rally started with a single to left field to tie the game. Two runs scored on the single for the 3-3 tie. The next batter singled to score the winning run. 
NU started the game with one run in the first inning. An infield single from Pingry put the Jets up 1-0. In the third inning, 
Kelsey Jones made it 2-0 with a single to left to score 
Kaitlyn Buck. In the seventh, the Jets added one more run on a sac fly from Pingry. 
Pingry went 2-for-3 with two RBI, and Buck was 2-for-4. Lead-off hitter Mannis was 3-for-4. 
The three game series concludes tomorrow with one game at 12 p.m. in Goodwell, Okla.
