WICHITA, Kan. – After hosting two straight home conference matches, the Newman volleyball team heads back out on the road for another weekend of conference play against St. Mary's Thursday and Texas A&M International Saturday.
SCOUTING NEWMAN
The Jets (13-6, 2-2 Heartland) didn't have a good outing for their first home conference match of the season, dropping the match 3-1 to St. Edward's last Thursday. Newman didn't let that bother them though, coming right back Saturday afternoon inside Fugate Gymnasium to sweep Dallas Baptist 3-0 to wrap-up the second weekend of conference play for the Jets.

SCOUTING THE RATTLERS
The Rattlers (9-7, 3-2 Heartland) split their conference games last week but have won three out of the last four conference matches. St. Mary's played at Lubbock Christian last Thursday and lost the match 3-2. The Rattlers would come right back and play Friday evening at Oklahoma Panhandle State and win 3-1 over the Aggies to close out their week of conference play.

The Dustdevils (1-13, 1-4 Heartland) have struggled overall on the season but managed to get into the win column for the first time last Thursday against Oklahoma Panhandle State, winning 3-0 over the Aggies. Texas A&M International would drop Saturday's match against Lubbock Christian 3-0 to end the weekend of conference play.
