WICHITA, Kan. — Looking to take advantage of its lone short week of the season, the Newman women's soccer team heads to Oklahoma to face off against Rogers State to start the second half of the Heartland Conference schedule Saturday at 1 p.m.

SCOUTING THE HILLCATS
Rogers State (5-5-1, 1-5-1, 4 pts Heartland) just earned a 1-0 victory over Northwestern Oklahoma State Tuesday that snapped a three-game losing streak for the Hillcats. The dropped a pair of league games last weekend, falling by a combined score of 9-0 against OC and LCU.

-The Jets grabbed a victory over the Hillcats back on Sept. 9 to start the conference season. That game was delayed from Thursday night and had to be moved to Maize High School Friday, where Newman scored early and late to earn a 2-0 win.
-Newman's scoreless tie with OC was its seventh shutout of the season in 11 games. That breaks the program's Division II-era record of six — set in each of the 2010-12 seasons — with seven games yet to play.
