WICHITA, Kan. – This marks the third consecutive season that the Newman volleyball team makes an appearance in the Heartland Conference semifinals, heading down to Fort Smith, Arkansas after wrapping up the regular season last Thursday.

SCOUTING NEWMAN
 
The Jets (20-10, 9-5 Heartland) took on UAFS last Thursday on Senior Night inside Fugate Gymnasium to finish out the regular season but ended up losing a five-set thriller.
 
SCOUTING ARKANSAS FORT-SMITH
 
The Lions (22-5, 14-0 Heartland) traveled to Wichita, Kansas last Thursday to close out their regular season and escaped with five-set comeback victory to head into the postseason tournament.
 
SCOUTING LUBBOCK CHRISTIAN
 
The Chaparrals (18-10, 11-3 Heartland) finished out their regular season schedule by taking on Oklahoma Panhandle State at home last Thursday, sweeping the Aggies 3-0.
 
SCOUTING ST. EDWARD'S
 
The Hilltoppers (11-17, 9-5 Heartland) closed out their regular season by traveling to Dallas Baptist Saturday and sweeping the Patriots 3-0 to earn the No. 3 seed in the postseason tournament.
