WICHITA, Kan. — Getting back to Heartland Conference play, the Newman men's and women's tennis teams host Arkansas-Fort Smith at 9:30 a.m. at Riverside Park.

The Jet women (12-3, 1-0 Heartland) have won eight of their past nine matches, including a 7-2 win over Northwest Missouri State and a 9-0 victory over Friends last week. The Lions (2-9, 0-1 Heartland) topped Lindenwood Tuesday to snap an eight-match losing streak. They lost 7-2 to the same Dallas Baptist squad Newman topped last month.

The Jet men (5-8, 1-0 Heartland) are coming off an 8-1 exhibition win over Friends, and swept Dallas Baptist in their first league match. The Lions (2-7, 1-0 Heartland), also beat DBU, earning an 8-1 win.
