WICHITA, Kan. — Putting together an undefeated record through its first weekend of play, the Newman women's soccer team hits the road for the first time this season, heading to East Central for a 4 p.m. match Tuesday.
SCOUTING NEWMAN
The Jets (1-0-1 overall) opened their 2016 season with a resounding 2-0 victory over Northwestern Oklahoma State on Thursday before battling to a 0-0 draw against a solid Missouri Southern side Saturday. Both sides of the ball were sturdy for the Jets, who outshot their opponents 32-16.

East Central (0-2-0 overall) opened its season against two Heartland Conference squads over the weekend. The Tigers opened at home, where they fell 1-0 to Oklahoma Christian Thursday, then traveled to Rogers State Sunday, where they suffered a 3-0 defeat.
