WICHITA, Kan. — Entering November with three more regular season matches on the road, the Newman volleyball team heads south for Heartland Conference matchups at Texas A&M International and St. Mary's this weekend.
SCOUTING NEWMAN
The Jets (10-18, 3-6 Heartland) started off last week with an impressive 3-0 nonconference victory over Friends, but suffered a pair of tough losses in conference play, falling to Dallas Baptist 3-0 despite three close sets, and dropping a heartbreaker to St. Edward's 3-2.

Texas A&M International (2-21, 0-9 Heartland) has had a rough go of it, falling in its last four matches since facing Newman in Wichita. The Dustdevils got a set off of St. Edward's two weeks ago, but suffered a 3-0 loss to Lubbock Christian last weekend.

St. Mary's (15-10, 7-2 Heartland) continued its hot start into the second half of the conference season, and is currently on a four-match league winning streak and solidly in second place in the standings. They snagged a 3-2 win over Lubbock Christian last week, pushing their overall winning streak to seven straight before they fell to Southwestern (Texas) on Saturday.
