WICHITA, Kan. —The Newman men's basketball team will be back at home Saturday as they take on Northwestern Oklahoma State. The Jets have looked good at the start of conference play winning both their matchups so far.
SCOUTING NEWMAN
The Jets (4-5) are coming off two well-played games Thursday and Saturday. On Thursday the Jets played host to the Hilltoppers of St. Edward's University and were looking at a big deficit early in the second half but with persistent offense and defense, the Jets were able to mount a comeback and win. Saturday the Jets traveled to Oklahoma City to take on the Eagles of Oklahoma Christian and after trailing in the second half the Jets were able to come away with another conference win.

SCOUTING THE RANGERS
The Rangers (6-1) are coming off of their opening weekend in the Great American Conference Thursday and Saturday. The Rangers traveled to Searcy, Arkansas to take on the Bisons of Harding University and were able to come away with a comfortable win to begin conference play. Saturday the Rangers played host to the Wonder Boys of Arkansas Tech University, and the Rangers would lose a close game for their first loss of conference and the season.
