WICHITA, Kan. – After hosting two conference games at home, the Newman men's basketball team is set to hit the road for a single game against Oklahoma Panhandle State Saturday afternoon.

The Jets (7-15, 5-8 Heartland) squared up with Rogers State on Feb. 2 at home and fell 66-57 to the Hillcats. Newman hosted Arkansas-Fort Smith for its Hall of Fame game on Saturday but dropped a competitive 73-68 contest to the Lions.

The Aggies (5-17, 0-13 Heartland) enter this weekend's contest on a current 15 game losing streak. Oklahoma Panhandle State hosted Arkansas-Fort Smith Feb. 2 and fell 102-82 to the Lions and then took Rogers State at home on Saturday and lost 81-46 to the Hillcats.

HISTORY LESSON
 
Newman holds a 17-2 all-time record over Oklahoma Panhandle State that began during the 2007-08 campaign. The Jets won the previous matchup 118-99 on Jan. 7 at Fugate Gymnasium to take the first game of series this season.
 
NOTES
 
-With five games remaining in the regular season, the Jets are currently in seventh place in the conference standings.
 
-Nwosu leads the conference in scoring with 18.5 points per game and also leads the conference in 3-pointers made with 60.
 
-Schieber is second in the conference in 3-point percentage at 37.6 percent and Nwosu isn't far behind at 37.0 percent, which is third in the conference.
