Box Score WICHITA, Kan. — Starting fast with a pair of goals in the first 20 minutes, the Newman women's soccer team evened its Heartland Conference record with a 2-0 victory over Texas A&M International Thursday night at Wilkins Field.
KEY SEQUENCE
The Jets (4-2-0, 1-1-0 Heartland) got a fast start for the third straight game, with the hosts ripping off four shots, including two on-goal before seven minutes clicked off the clock against the Dustdevils (1-3-1, 0-2-0 Heartland). Rosa Urista-Chico cashed in on a slick play in the 11th, as Lexi Clark lofted a long ball down the right side for Colleen Howland to spread out the defense. Howland slid the ball across the box to Urista-Chico, who put the Jets up with an easy score.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-During the 11' minute Howland had a nice long ball cross to Urista-Chico for her fourth goal of the season and giving the Jets a 1-0 lead and momentum for the game.
-In the 19' minute Linton got in on the action giving the Jets a 2-0 lead and the advantage to finish off the rest of the game strong.
NOTES
-This is the Jets third consecutive win scoring 14 goals in those game and adding to the NCAA history mark.
-The Jets out shot their opponents by 10
-The Jets have been playing good soccer lately shutting out two opponents and hold another team to one goal.
