Jets Looking To Take Advantage Of Last Nonconference Matchup

WICHITA, Kan. — The Newman men's basketball team returns home after a Texas road trip in which they played St. Mary's and Texas A&M International. The Jets are looking to take the momentum from the weekend into their last nonconference game of the season, and getting right back into conference.

SCOUTING NEWMAN

The Jets (7-9, 4-2 Heartland) are coming off a 1-1 weekend in both San Antonio and Laredo, Texas. The Jets played a thrilling double overtime game when they took on the Rattler's of St. Mary's the Jets were able unable to come away with the victory losing 99-94. The team then took the trip to Laredo to take on the Dustdevils and the Jets would bounce back and come away with a close victory 86-85.

SCOUTING THE COYOTES

The Coyotes (9-9) are coming off two losses when in the KCAC taking on Tabor College and York College Wednesday and Saturday. The team travel to Hillsboro, Kansas to take on the Bluejays and the Coyotes were unable to keep up with the Bluejays losing the matchup 62-46. The team then came back home to take on the Panthers of York College, the Coyotes tried to bounce back but were unable to get the victory in a close game 76-73.

SCOUTING THE PATRIOTS

The Patriots (14-2, 4-1 Heartland) are coming off a nonconference and conference win last week. The Patriots were home against Paul Quinn and were able to run away with the victory 98-51. The Patriots then played host to No. 13 Arkansas-Fort Smith and were able to beat the Lions in a close conference matchup 76-60.
