WICHITA, Kan. — After one of their biggest weeks in program history, the Newman women's soccer team looks to make a late push toward their first ever Heartland Conference title. The Jets will begin a four game homestead to end the regular season starting Thursday evening (Oct. 18) against St. Mary's at 5 p.m. The Jets will host Texas A&M International Saturday (Oct. 20) at 12 p.m.
SCOUTING NEWMAN
The Jets (10-1-3, 6-1-3 Heartland) had one of the programs best road trips this past weekend going 2-0 against the top two teams in the Heartland Conference. The Jets took down conference leading St. Edward's 2-0 last Thursday, their first win over the Hilltoppers since 2009 ending an (0-12-3) drought. The Jets continued to end the run of streaks taking down Dallas Baptist 1-0 last Saturday, snapping an (0-9-4) winless streak dating back to the 2010 season.

St. Mary's (5-6-2, 3-6-1 Heartland) split last weekend going 1-1. The Rattlers posted a 1-0 shutout against Oklahoma Christian last Thursday. The Rattlers saw their two game losing streak snapped dropping a 3-1 match to Lubbock Christian last Saturday.
