WICHITA, Kan. — The Newman men's basketball team is looking to keep momentum as they take their five-game winning streak to Lubbock, Texas this week with a matchup with Lubbock Christian. The Jets continue to pace themselves in the conference looking to make another push this weekend.
SCOUTING NEWMAN
The Jets (13-11, 9-4 Heartland) are coming off two quality wins Thursday and Saturday, Thursday the Jets hosted St. Mary's looking to continue playing the way they have been for the past couple of weeks, the team was able to handle to Rattler's 81-68. Saturday the Jets welcomed the Dustdevils looking to move up again in conference play and Newman seemed locked in able to get stops when they needed and score when they needed to, winning a close game 49-46.

SCOUTING THE CHAPS
The Chaps (12-12, 8-5 Heartland) are coming off a 2-0 week as they were able to win two on their home court. Thursday the team hosted No. 22 Dallas Baptist looking to take this game and upset the Patriots the Chaps got off to a good start and didn't look back winning the game 84-78. Saturday Lubbock welcomed the Hillcats and would take care of business getting a lead and staying with their game- winning 81-70.
