ST. PETERS, Mo. — A doubles sweep put the Newman men's tennis team behind to start, and Lindenwood kept up the pressure, earning a 5-1 victory in nonconference action Monday.
Diego Rojo picked up a 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 3 singles to grab a point for the Jets (5-8), and Enrique Coiras was leading before the match was ended once the Lions (5-5) clinched.
The Jet women's match against Lindenwood was postponed due to lack of indoor courts.
Newman continues its spring break trip Tuesday, when the Jets face McKendree.
