WICHITA, Kan. — The Newman women's soccer team returns back to Wilkins Field for the first time in sixteen days, as they get ready to face two premiere Heartland Conference teams. The Jets will take on conference leader Dallas Baptist University Thursday evening (Sept. 27) to get the homestead underway. The Jets finish the brief two game homestead Saturday (Sept. 29) against conference leader St. Edward's University.
SCOUTING NEWMAN
The Jets (7-1-0, 3-1-0 Heartland) continued their best start in school history with convincing victories on the road last weekend. The Jets defeated Texas A&M International last Thursday 4-1. The Jets jumped out to a quick lead scoring all four goals in the first half and never looked back.
The Jets high explosive offense continued on Saturday against St. Mary's. A lot like Thursday's contest the Jets found the back of the net early taking a 3-0 lead into the locker rooms. The Jets would tally a fourth goal in the second half in route to a convincing 4-0 victory.

Dallas Baptist University (5-2-1, 4-0-0 Heartland) comes into the contest tied atop the Hearltand Conference. DBU's offense found the back of the net five times against Oklahoma Christian last Thursday winning in convincing form 5-1.
The Patriots offense picked up right where they left off against Lubbock Christian. DBU scored two early first half goals heading into the locker room with a 2-0 advantage. The Patriots offense struck for two more goals in the second half cruising to a 4-1 victory.

St. Edward's University (4-2-1, 4-0-0 Heartland) head into the week tied atop the Heartland Conference. SEU fell behind early against Lubbock Christian University last Thursday before the offense came to life scoring two unanswered goals before half and not look winning 2-0.
The Hilltoppers offense jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in first half gaining full control against Oklahoma Christian. The SEU defense picked up right where they left off from Thursday night's contest keeping OCU scoreless.
