WICHITA, Kan. — The Newman men's soccer team used a strong second half to get their second victory of the Season. The Jets used strong defense and a well-orchestrated offense to find holes in the opponent's defense to get their points and the game victory.

The Jets (2-1) were up 2-1 looking to make another statement late in the game, after a corner kick by Victor Rubio Lopez and a header by Vince Couto to assist Ed Jabbari for the Jet goal and his third of the game, Newman would get the game victory after adding another goal to give themselves the game victory 4-1.

How It Happened
-The Threshers were able to get on the board early when Joshua Clay was able to get a pass downfield and score in the top of the net for the early 1-0 lead.
-Ed Jabbari was able to even things up later in the second half when he got an assist from Victor Rubio Lopez from the corner for the goal.
-Jabbari would add two more goals in the second half the Jets, the first would come in the 50th minute, when he would get a pass from Lopez again for the score after a rebound giving the Jets a two-point lead. Jabbari would add his third this time in the 69th minute as a corner from Lopez would find Couto for the header pass to Jabbari for the goal.
-Taylor White would get in on the action as well as he would get a pass from Tommy Fiszel for the goal in the box and Newman would get the three-point victory over the Threshers.
Notes
-Jabbari would get the hat trick for the Jets, the Jets, as a team would outshoot the Threshers on shots on goal 10-2.
-Victor Rubio Lopez would give the Jets 3 assists, two from corner kicks and one in the box to help the Jets prevail.
