EMPORIA, Kan. – On Sunday afternoon, the Jets traveled an hour northeast to take on the Hornets of Emporia State.  This was a tough and physical match from the opening whistle.

How it Happened

The Jets would take 18(6) shots compared to Emporia State's 11(9) shots.  The scoring started early in this contest when Aislinn Hughes beat Jackie Lari to give Emporia State an early 1-0 in the third minute of play.  After a back and forth defensive battle, Kennedy Weaver would beat Jillian Patton in the lower left corner of the goal on a ball from Kyra Butler to make the match 1-1.  Neither team would be able to get anything going in the overtime periods.
