WICHITA, Kan. - On Sunday afternoon, the Jets took to the field to take on Fort Hays State University. It was a tough and physical match from the opening whistle. In the 52nd minute of play, Fort Hays State's Cailey Perkins scored a ball that rattled around in the box after Newman goalie
Jackie Lari had deflected a shot. That would be all of the scoring in the game as the Tigers would win 1-0, handing the Jets just their second loss all season and their first in MIAA conference play.
Key Sequence
For most of this game it was back and forth with no one getting any separation from the other. It all changed in the second half when Cailey Perkins scored the games only goal.
