SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Newman men's tennis team fell 7-0 Saturday afternoon (Feb. 23) to the No. 10 Southwest Baptist.

The Jets fell behind in doubles play dropping all three matches to the Bearcats, giving SBU the early 1-0 lead heading into singles play.

In singles, the Jets dropped the top three sports as the Bearcats took a 4-0 lead while clinching the match. Teodor Antelj and Lauri Soome both fell behind 1-0 in their sets before coming back in the second set forcing a third set. Antelj and Soome both fell in the third set as the Bearcats sweep through individual play winning the match 7-0.
