WICHITA, Kan. – The Newman men's tennis team rolled to a 4-0 sweep over Southwestern College on Saturday afternoon (Apr. 13). The Jets move to 7-14 on the season snapping a two match skid while the Moundbuilders fall for just the third time this season dropping to 13-3 on the year.
No. 1 doubles Arthur Justo and Lauri Soome gave the Jets the early advantage in doubles action winning 7-5. After dropping No. 2 doubles to the Moundbuilders, No. 3 doubles Teodor Antelj and Marcel Miasato clinched the doubles point for the Jets winning 6-2.
In singles action the Jets wasted no time clinching the match as No. 1 Lauri Soome, No. 4 Szabin Pusztay, No. 5 Marcel Miasato only needed two sets securing the 4-0 sweep.
