Hays, Kan. – The Women's Volleyball team traveled to Fort Hays State to participate in the Tiger Classic on September 13 & 14. The Jets came upon some tough competition today. Newman started tournament play at 9:00 A.M. against a familiar foe in Northwestern Oklahoma State, in which they lost a heartbreaker 3-2. Their second match of the day came against Chadron State at 3:30 P.M a game in which they lost 3-1.

The Jets played really well in this match, but they ultimately lost in the 5^th set 12-15. The Jets lost the first set 25-19. Newman bounced back and won the next two sets by the scores of (25-20), and (25-18). In the final two sets Newman played well but ultimately lost both sets by the score of (25-16), and (15-12).
