Drew Johnson picked up his first win at the helm of the Women's Basketball program.
The Jets are now 1-4 after picking up the win on their home floor. With one non-conference game remaining, Newman hopes to head into conference play with momentum on their side.
Newman bigs played a crucial role in the Jets success.

Britney Ho tallied 30 points collectively and gathered 23 boards. Mason-Vestal led all scorers with her fifth straight double-figure scoring contest having 12 points Tuesday night.
Laura Bello picked up a massive double-double off the bench for Johnson's squad scoring 10 and picking up 11 rebounds. It took Bello just 15 minutes to amass the first double-double of her career.
Britney Ho scored 8 points finishing off two strong and one's in the first quarter.
