WICHITA, Kan. – On Wednesday afternoon, the Newman Men's tennis team returned to action as they played host to the Bethany Swedes at Riverside Park.  The Jets would dominate in this matchup as they would defeat the Swedes by a final score of 7-0.

In Doubles competition, Teodor Antelj and Arthur Esteves Justo would defeat Suarez and Eggers 6-3.  Luca Penteado and Gabriel Yaguar would takedown Witter and Colman 6-0.  In the final doubles match, Jarrod Nowak and Gustavo Gil would defeat Lucas and Yoder 6-0. 

In singles competition, Antelj would win his match against Suarez 6-2, 7-6(7-5).  Justo would takedown Eggers in three sets dropping the first set 6-3 before winning set 2 6-2 and 10-5.  Gil would defeat Colman 6-3, 6-4.  Yaguar would takedown Lucas 6-1, 6-3.  Penteado would also pick up the win over Witter 6-0, 6-0.  Nowak would also pick up a 6-0, 6-0 win against Pastine.  In the final singles match, Yanni Martin would defeat Yoder 6-3, 6-0.

The Jets will be back in action on Monday Apr. 19^th as they travel to Emporia State to take on the Hornets at 10:30 AM.
