WICHITA -Women's basketball finished their 2 game MIAA home stand by taking on #4/2 Missouri Southern who is off to one of their best starts in almost 30 years. The Jets looked to get back to .500 in conference play while the Lions were poised to stay undefeated on the season.
Â
The Lions took down Newman in convincing fashion 89-42.
Â
The Jets were outshot on the day 26.1% to 52.1%.
Maddie Spagnola led the way for the Jets with her 2nd highest scoring performance of the season with 14. Spagnola was the only Jet to reach double digit scoring.
Â
Missouri Southern's lights out shooting was too much for Newman as 3 Lions ended with 12 or more points and every MSSU player that was on the court scored in todays game.
