WARRENSBURG, Mo. - Newman WBB ended their road trip of Missouri Saturday afternoon facing off against the No. 23 UCM Jennies. Newman looked to move to 2-0 in MIAA play while UCM had a chance to stay undefeated and improve to 5-0 and 2-0 in MIAA play.

UCM would upend the Jets 83-38 in a low scoring affair for Newman. The Jets shot just 32% from the field and 2-14 from behind the arc.

UCM controlled the game and was hot from 3 point range shooting 12-23 to tack on to their lead throughout the game. The Jennies shot 54.1% from the field.

Newman went into the half down 40-23 and struggled to find any rhythm of offense with UCM holding the Jets to only 6 points in the first 8 minutes of the 3rd quarter and would add more pressure in the 2nd half, not allowing Newman to score until 6:24 in the 4th. The Central Missouri defense caused 20 turnovers on the day.

Britney Ho led Newman on 50% shooting and would be the lone Jet in double digit points with 16.

 Newman 4-3 (1-1) will head back to Wichita for a pair of home games and face a 5-2 Pitt State team on Wednesday, December 7th at 5:30 PM and Missouri Southern on December 10th at 1:30.
