OWASSO, Okla. – Newman Men's and Women's Golf travelled south to compete in the Hillcat Classic.  The women placed 6^th while the men placed 8^th in their respective fields.

It was a rare luxury for Program Director Taryn Torgerson as both of her teams played in the same tournaments.

The women played a solid first round shooting well enough to be in third place after round one.  The Jets battled a tough course and tough field as two individuals placed top 20, including an eighth place finish by Felisa Sajulga.  Kassidy Chance finished just outside the top 10 tied at 13, just three strokes behind Sajulga.  The team finished the tournament in 6^th place.

On the men's side Ty Wilson and Matthew Shrock each placed in the top 20.  Wilson was tied 12^th in a 4-way tie.  Just two strokes behind was Shrock, who finished tied 17^th.  The men's team placed 8th overall.
