Augspurger reaches 300 wins as the Jets take down the Tigers

HAYS, Kan. - Newman Director of Tennis Shella Augspurger earned her 300th win at the NCAA Division II level while at the helm of the Newman Jets Tennis programs.  Augspurger reached the milestone as he women's team toppled the Fort Hays State Tigers 5-2.

The Jets faced the Tigers in windy conditions on Sunday afternoon.  Newman picked up teh win by taking the doubles point and four singles wins.

The duo of Dana Issabyeva and Isabela Campos Bifano won their doubles match as did Divya Murali and Marie Brunet to secure that doubles point.Antonia Ramos and Mirella Cavalcanti

Isaabayeva and Murali took care of their singles matchups at 1 and 3 respectively, along with Antonia Ramos and Mirella D'Angelo Cavalcanti who took their number 4 and 6 matches.

For Augspurger, 300 wins in the DII era of the Tennis program is a great milestone.  Augspurger and the Jets will look for win number 301 Thursday April 14th at Washburn.
