WARRENSBURG & Jefferson City, Mo. – Newman paid a visit to the Jennies of Central Missouri Saturday afternoon and the Blue Tigers of Linocln on Sunday. The jets were swept and Warrensburg, yet returned the have on the Blue Tigers with a sweep of their own.
Newman now posts a 13-21 (5-9 MIAA) record after the road trip

The Jets fell in both games to the Jennies.
Laurie Cooke hit two home runs in game one while
Mackenzie Anderson tallied three RBI on the day. The Jennie offense found its groove in game two as they tagged Jet pitching for 10 runs.

One big inning was all the Jets needed in game one Sunday thanks to a stellar performance by
Madison Dewitt who picked up her third win on the season. Dewitt threw a complete game shuout allowing just 5 hits over 7 frames while striking out 2.
The offense was paced by an RBI single by
Madison Canez and a two RBI double by
Taylor Ullery. Three runs scored on the Ullery double thanks to a misplay by the center fielder.
In game two, Lindsay mayo put the Jets in the lead with a solo homerun.
Lincoln took the lead with a two run homerun in the second.
Taylor Ullery hammered a solo blast to tie the game at two just before another two run shot gave Lincoln the lead again.
In the top of the seventh, Newman put up three runs on a
Lauren Kuhrt RBI single,
Mackenzie Anderson sacrifice fly and a
Laurie Cooke RBI single that scored Kuhrt to give the Jets teh lead.
Anna Veltien went 6.1 innings and was relieved by
Megan Walz. Walz recorded the save stranding two runs on base. Veltien is now 2-2 on the season while Walz picks up her first save on the campaign.
