EDMOND, Okla. - Men's tennis competed in the MIAA/GAC conference tournament Wednesday morning.  Newman matched up with second ranked Southern Arkansas.  It was the Muleriders advancing as they took down the Jets 4-0.

Newman's season comes to a close with a record of 10-12, matching the win total of a season ago.

Wednesday's match with Southern Arkansas taking four points via three singles wins and two doubles wins to defeat the Jets.

Despite the season coming to an abrupt close, the effort of the Jets should not go unnoticed as Ali Mounir and Pedja Kolaric were leading in their doubles match before SAU clinched that point, as were Luca Penteado and Jarrod Nowak in their respective singles matches.

There is more good news for Shella Augspurger's club as the entire lineup has eligibility to return for another run at postseason success in the 2022-23 season.
