Fulton, MO- Men's and Women's Tennis traveled to Missouri to face William Woods.
Women's Tennis:
Jets dominate William Woods in a 6-1 win. The Jets started off the day with a 2-1 victory in doubles, creating an early lead.
Isabela Campos Bifano and
Dana Issabayeva took their doubles match 6-2.
Ani Zeikidze and
Sofiko Zeikidze took their victory 6-4.
Issabayeva started off the singles on a high note, winning her match 6-1 and fighting through her second match 7-6.
Bifano took her win 6-2 in both sets.
Nicole Bono had a strong match winning 6-2 and 6-0.
Amber Hands and
Marie Brunet didn't drop a game in their singles matches. They both swept their opponents 6-0 in both sets.
Men's Tennis:
Pedja Kolaric and
Ali Mounir were points away from a doubles victory, but couldn't finish it out and lost 7-5. The other doubles teams both fell 6-3, allowing William Woods to take the doubles point.
Kurt Suarez Bruckner, Kolaric, and Mounir couldn't capitalize in their matches, all losing in 2 sets.
Isfan Makhmudov took his first set with ease at 6-2. Makhmudov dropped his second set, which forced a tie break. The points didn't bounce his way, losing the tie break 10-2.
Gustavo Gil also played a match decided by a few points. Gil lost his first match 7-6 and dropped his second set 7-5.
The Jets fell 7-0, snapping their 5 match win streak. The Jets look to rally back this weekend vs. Barton CC and Iowa Central CC.
Men's and Women's Tennis are back in action March 17th in Great Bend, Kansas.
