WICHITA- The Jets hosted the Central Missouri Jennies for a double header. The Jennies were 8-6 in conference before heading into todays matchup.
Game 1:
Megan Walz was in the circle for the Jets today in game 1.Â
The Jennies were able to capitalize in the first inning, scoring 2. Though the Jets had a solid defensive showing, the Jennies were able to score 5 runs through 7 innings.Â
In the bottom of the 7th inning the Jets were able to get a run across the plate from an RBI by Gianna De Luca-Paape. However, that run was the only run the Jets were able to score.Â
Mikenna Barcelona was a perfect 2-2 from the plate.Â

The Jennies took the 1st game,  5-1.
Game 2:
Jackie Gold was in the circle for the Jets in game two. In the top of the first inning the Jets defense went 3 up 3 down, with 2 strikeouts by Gold. This defensive showing gave the Jets the momentum heading into the bottom of the inning. However, the Jets were unable to capitalize in the bottom of the inning.
In the top of the second inning, the Jennies put up 2 runs to take the lead 2-0.Â
The Jets battled back in the bottom of the third to even the score at 2 all with a home run that was crushed by Madi Canez, her 3rd home run of the season.Â
Neither team could get the offense going through the 4th and 5th innings.Â
The Jennies were next to strike. UCM put up 3 more runs in the top of the 6th inning to take the lead 5-2. The Jennies would hold that lead for the remainder of the game.
The Jets fell 5-2 in game 2.Â
Gianna Navarro was 3-3 from the plate.Â
Canez went 1-2 with 1 home run and 2 RBIs.Â
Gold recorded 5 strikeouts.Â
ON DECK: The Jets host Lincoln Saturday April 10th at 1 and 3 PM. The Tigers are currently 1-15 in conference.
