WICHITA - The men's and women's tennis teams got their seasons officially underway on Tuesday, taking on Sterling College at home. Several of the top members of the men's team were coming off their appearance at the ITA Central Regional, where they took non some of the top competitors at the Division II level. 

The men would win all six of their singles matches, with all of the Jets sweeping their opponents in two sets. Isfan Makhmudov had the most impressive performance of the men, winning 12-1 through two sets. Central Regional competitors  Ali Mounir, Kurt Suraez Bruckner and Andre Torrini also won handily over their competition. 

The men went 6-0 in singles, and won all three of their doubles matches giving the Jets the clean sweep over the Warriors. 

The women also had a similar outcome against Sterling. 

Luna Feillon was utterly dominant in her matchup, winning 12-0. Ani Zeikidze and Dana Issabaeya were at the top of the line and would also pull off sweeps of their own. 

Overall, the women would win all six of their singles matches and sweep their three doubles matches. 

The women will head to their ITA Regional in Edmond, Oklahoma beginning on Friday, while the men will be in action against Friends next Thursday.
