Last Time Out
Following their first conference win of the season over Emporia State, the Jets headed to Topeka to take on Washburn.
The first half was tightly contested, with Newman brining some of their momentum from the last game into this one.
The Jets only trailed by three at halftime, but a strong second half from the Ichabods put the game out of reach.
Monica Redondo and
Jaeden McMillin both had a team high 11 points in the contest, with Redondo getting most of her points in the second half.

The Jets are 1-7 in the MIAA following this weekend's games. The win over Emporia State was the second win in the last three meetings in the series between the Hornets and Jets.
In just her first season as a Jet,
Delainey Wylie leads the Jets in blocks with 29 total. She currently ranks second in the MIAA for blocks, and also is top 25 in the conference for rebounding.
Carissa Beck leads the team in scoring average, averaging just over 9 points a contest.
Behind Enemy Lines
Rogers State enters the weekend with a 6-7 record, with the Hillcats only getting one conference win so far this season.
The Hillcats lost only one non-conference game, but have struggled to get any momentum in the MIAA, with their only win coming over Northeastern State.
Rogers State's main playmaker, Alayzha Knapp, is averaging nearly 16 points a game, which is almost two times that of the next highest scorer.
Northeastern State also comes in with a 6-7 record, getting one more conference win than the Hillcats with a 2-5 record.
The Riverhawks have not had a win on the road yet this season, going 0-4 through the first two months of the season.

The Jets are 13-7 all-time against the Hillcats, with Newman winning the most recent game 58-47 last February. The Hillcats have won three out of the last four meetings, however.
Newman is 3-6 all time against Northeastern State. The Jets defeated the Riverhawks both home and away last season.
