Last Time Out
The Jets faced Missouri Southern and Central Missouri last weekend. Against the Lions, the Jets forced extra points in two of the three sets but couldn't quite close out a set. The Lions tok the match 3-0. The Jets then faced a talented Jennies squad who were receiving votes to be in the top 25. The Jennies took the match, 3-0. 
 
Scouting the Jets 
- Ozioma Ajekwu broke the 200 mark for kills last weekend. Ajekwu now has 205 kills through 19 matches played and averaging 3.06 kills per set.
- McKenna Rhodes is second in kills for the Jets with 131 kills averaging 2.05 kills per set. 
- Natalie Trigo leads the Jets defense with 332 kills averaging just under five kills a set.
 
Behind Enemy Lines
The Bearcats are coming off of a four set loss to No. 11 Central Oklahoma and a three set win against Arkansas Fort-Smith. Just one Bearcat, Abby Brunssen, has hit the 200 mark of kills with 215. Three other Bearcats are above the 150 kill mark for the season. Ella Caffery has recorded 519 assists through 17 matches played. On the defensive end, Kyah Luhring is averaging just under five digs per set with a total of 334 so far this season.
 
The Griffons are coming off a two win week against Arkansas Fort-Smith (3-1) and an upset against the #11 ranked Bronchos (3-1). Two Griffons have recorded 190+ kills this season. Three other Griffons are above the 100 mark. Nessa Johnson has tallied 743 assists this year with an average of 11.26 assists per set. On the defensive end, Anna Weberg leads the Griffons with 319 digs. Two other Griffons have recorded over 200 digs. Missouri Western will face Pittsburg State before traveling to Newman to take on the Jets. 
 
The Series
The Jets and Bearcats have met up 13 times, all 13 matchups going in favor of the Jennies. The last matchup in October of 2023, the Bearcats took the match, 3-1.
 
The Jets and Griffons have matched up 11 times. The Griffons lead the series with a 9-2 record. The last time out in 2023, the Griffons took the match, 3-0.

Newman will hit the road next to match up with Pittsburg State on October 25th at 6 PM.
