Jets finish sixth at the Tulsa Cup

BROKEN ARROW, Okla.- Men's and Women's golf competed in the Tulsa Cup this week. The last time out, the Men's team finished 5th place at the Washburn Invitational. At the Tulsa Cup, the Men placed 6th to wrap up the fall season.

Through day one of play, the team shot 623. Chase Martel led the Jets after shooting a 149. Charlie Townsend was the second best scorer for the Jets with a 154 through the first two rounds. Grant Delsart finished the day in 55th place after shooting a 159. Tomas Asgeirsson shot a 161 that earned him 62nd place on the day. Braxton Muldoon shot a 171 on the day.

On day two of play, Martel continued to lead the Jets. Martel shot a 72 on the day to take his total to 221, which earned him 5th place.Townsend shot his best round of the tournament on day two with a 71. This 71 scored him 12th place and a total score of 225. Asgeirsson shot a 76 on the day, his best 18 of the tournament, which secured him 48th place and a total score of 237. Delsart finished with a 241 in 63rd place and Muldoon finished with a 248 in 81st place. On the final day of play, the Jets shot the lowest team score and moved up eight spots to finish in 6th place.

With his fifth place finish, Chase Martel earned All-Tournament team.

This tournament wraps up the fall season for the Jets. Men's Golf will return in March.
